How to Purchase a Rayyan Subscription? – Rayyan Help Center

This article explains how to purchase a premium Rayyan plan.
The process differs depending on whether you are purchasing an Individual plan or an Institutional plan.

Purchasing an Individual Plan (Self-Serve)

Individual plans can be purchased directly from your Rayyan account using a credit or debit card.

Step 1: Create a Free Rayyan Account

Before purchasing a membership, you’ll need to create a free Rayyan account. Once your account is set up, log in to continue. For detailed instructions, refer to this guide.

Step 2: Access the Upgrade Page

Click Upgrade under your profile icon in the top-right corner of the page.
Alternatively, visit https://www.rayyan.ai/pricing/ directly.

Step 3: Choose an Individual Plan

Rayyan offers two Individual premium plans:

Essential – Time-saving tools for growing research needs
Advanced – Advanced AI capabilities and more space for complex research workflows

Select the plan that best fits your work.

Option 1: Upgrade Me Alone

Choose this option if:

You are upgrading only yourself
You do not need to give premium access to collaborators

In this case:

One seat is purchased
The seat is automatically assigned to you as the account owner

Option 2: Myself & My Team

Choose this option if:

You want to give premium access to collaborators
Other members need access to premium features

When selecting this option:

You specify the total number of seats you want to purchase
One seat is always assigned to you
Additional seats can later be assigned to team members you invite

Seats determine who can access premium features.
Free Reviewers or Viewers can still join without seats, subject to plan limits. Click here to learn more

Step 4: Review Your Order Information

Before completing your purchase:

Confirm your first and last name (required for invoice generation)
Verify the email address linked to your Rayyan account

Click Next, review your order, then select Proceed.

Subscriptions are set to auto-renew by default to ensure uninterrupted access.
You can disable auto-renewal at any time. To cancel auto-renewal, refer to this guide.

Step 5: Enter Payment Information

Enter your credit or debit card details
Add your billing address
Review the total amount due

Note: Individual plans support card payments only.

Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then click Pay to complete your purchase.

Step 6: Confirmation and Invoice

Once payment is successful:

You will see a confirmation message on screen
A receipt and electronic invoice will be sent to your registered email address

Premium features will be available immediately.

Step 7: Assign Seats to Team Members (If Applicable)

If you purchased multiple seats:

Invite collaborators to your Workspace
Assign seats to members who need premium access
Seats can be reassigned later if your team changes

Premium access applies to reviews you own.

Purchasing an Institutional Plan (Academic, Business, or Enterprise)

Institutional plans cannot be purchased directly online.

Select Contact Sales

A Rayyan representative will assist with:

Plan selection
License setup
Billing and invoicing
Workspace configuration
