Before you begin Subscriptions must be managed through the same platform where they were originally purchased — Rayyan web, Apple App Store, or Google Play. If you are unsure where you subscribed, check your billing emails or app store subscription settings before making any changes.
Identify where your subscription was purchased
- Rayyan web — manage through your Rayyan account billing settings
- Apple App Store — manage through your Apple ID subscription settings
- Google Play — manage through your Google Play subscription settings
How to upgrade your plan
Rayyan web
- Sign in to your Rayyan account and access this url: https://new.rayyan.ai/upgrade
- Select the plan you want to upgrade to
- Review the prorated amount due and confirm the change. Your new plan activates immediately
Mobile app
- Open the Rayyan app and go to Memberships.
- Select Upgrade and choose the plan you want.
- Confirm the change through your App Store or Google Play account.
How to downgrade your plan
Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle — not immediately, and no partial refunds are issued for the remaining period. You retain access to your current plan's features until the cycle ends.
- Open your billing or subscription settings on the purchase platform.
- Select a lower plan and confirm.
How to cancel your subscription
Rayyan web
- Sign in to your Rayyan account and click your avatar in the top right.
- From the dropdown, select your name.
- In Account Details, click Manage Membership.
- Click Cancel Subscription and confirm cancellation at the end of your current billing term.
Apple App Store
- Open your Apple subscription settings.
- Find your Rayyan subscription and tap Cancel Subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation.
Google Play
- Open Google Play subscriptions.
- Find your Rayyan subscription and tap Cancel Subscription.
- Follow the confirmation steps.
Before you cancel
Review your active work
- Check any reviews you own or co-manage
- Note which features your reviews depend on — these will become unavailable when your plan ends
- Consider whether reviews need to be completed or handed off before your plan changes
Review your team's access
- Check team member roles and collaboration permissions
- If another member should take over ownership of a review, contact Rayyan Support to assist with the transfer before canceling
What happens after cancellation

If something does not go as expected
If your cancellation or upgrade does not reflect within 24 hours contact Rayyan Support with the following:
- The platform you used (web, Apple, or Google Play)
- The date you made the change
- A screenshot or confirmation email if available
