Rayyan allows you to export your review articles in various formats, making it easy to share or use your data elsewhere. Here’s how you can export articles from your review:
Step 1: Select the Articles to Export
- Go to the Screening page of your review.
- Use the Filters workbench on the right side to filter the articles you want to copy. You can filter by inclusion criteria to select only Included, Excluded, or Maybe articles.
- Additionally, you can use Rayyan’s NLP-enabled search to refine your selection.
Step 2: Locate the Review Settings
- In the toolbar at the top right, click on the Review Settings icon (represented by an ellipsis "…").
Step 3: Select "Export" from the Dropdown Menu
- In the dropdown menu, select Export to open the export options.
Step 4: Configure Export Options
In the Export options box, configure the following:
-
Select Filtered to export only the articles in your filtered dataset, or All to export all articles from the review.
- Choose the format to export the articles in: RefMan, BibTeX, EndNote, or CSV.
- Decide whether to include abstracts, decisions, labels, and exclusion reasons.
- Choose the format for author names: Last, First or First Last.
- After selecting your options, click Export.
Step 6: Download Your Export File
-
Rayyan will generate an export file that is downloadable via a link sent to your email.
-
Click on the link in the email to download your zip file.
The downloaded zip file will contain:
- The articles file with Rayyan-specific information (e.g., decisions, labels, exclusion reasons) appended to the notes field of each record.
- The customizations_log file which tracks the history of all actions performed on the review. This includes timestamps, user emails, article IDs, and details of the actions taken.
- The included key in the log file indicates the decision on the article (-1 for Exclude, 0 for Maybe, 1 for Include).
- For labels/reasons, the log will show the action performed (1 for added, -1 for deleted).
