Already subscribed? The sections below explain how access works under each subscription type.
How access works
| Area | Individual Plans | Institutional Plans |
|---|---|---|
| Access model | Seat-based — plan features apply to reviews you own | License-based — plan features follow the user across all reviews they join as Collaborator |
| Collaboration | Collaborators need a seat to participate and get Collaborator access. Features available to them depend on the subscription owner's plan | Licensed users invited as Collaborator bring their own access — they are not limited by the review owner's plan. A licensed user invited as Reviewer gets Reviewer access only |
| Administration | Self-managed | Centrally managed by Enterprise Owners and Admins |
| ResearchPilot™ | Not included | Available on institutional plans with ResearchPilot™ enabled |
| Best for | Individual researchers and small teams | Departments, universities, and organizations |
Note If you need users to carry their access across reviews they did not create, an Institutional plan is required. Under Individual plans, access only applies to reviews owned by the subscription holder.
