Blind Mode in Data Extraction works on the same principle as in Screening — collaborators work independently and cannot see each other's answers while it is on. When Blind Mode is off, all answers are visible side by side and any questions where collaborators gave different answers are automatically flagged as Unmatched Answers in the extraction table.

How to turn Blind Mode on or off
Use the Blind mode toggle in the top right of your review. The toggle is accessible from every stage — you do not need to leave the Data Extraction tab to change it.
How to identify and resolve unmatched answers
With Blind Mode off, the extraction table automatically highlights any cell where collaborators gave different answers with an Unmatched Answers label in orange. Click the cell to see each collaborator's answer side by side.
- Turn Blind Mode off.
- Scan the extraction table for cells showing Unmatched Answers in orange.
- Click the cell to see each collaborator's answer.
- Discuss with your team and agree on the correct answer.
- Each collaborator updates their answer to match the agreed response.
- Once all answers are aligned, the article is ready for export.
