Conflicts among review members can arise during the screening process in Rayyan. Resolving these conflicts is essential to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the systematic review. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to resolve conflicts in Rayyan:
Step 1: Turn Off Blind Mode
- Navigate to the review where you want to resolve conflicts.
- Locate the Blind mode feature in the toolbar within the Screening stage.
- Toggle Blind Mode off. This will allow you to see the decisions made by other review members.
Step 2: Review the List of Conflicts
- Access the Conflict List:
- Once Blind Mode is turned off, navigate to the "Filter by inclusion" facet.
- Select the "Conflicts" filter. This will display all articles where there is a disagreement among reviewers.
- Examine Conflicts:
- Review the list of articles with conflicting decisions.
- Discuss each article with the review team to understand the reasons behind the different decisions.
Step 3: Reach a Consensus
- Discuss Each Article:
- Collaborate with your team members to discuss the merits and drawbacks of including or excluding each article.
- Aim to reach a consensus on each article.
- Change Decisions Accordingly:
Once an agreement is reached on a specific article, update the decisions as follows:- If the consensus is to include the article, any member who initially voted to exclude it should change their decision to include it.
- If the consensus is to exclude the article, any member who initially voted to include it should change their decision to exclude it.
- Confirm Resolution:
- Ensure all conflicts are resolved by checking the "Conflicts" filter again.
- The article should no longer appear in the conflict list once a consensus decision is made and updated.
