Full-Text Screening is where you make your final eligibility decision on each article. The screening mechanics — Include, Exclude, Maybe, labels, exclusion reasons, and notes — work the same way as in TiAb screening. See How to Screen References in Rayyan if you need a refresher on how decisions work.
How to make FTS decisions
Click any reference in the FTS stage to open its detail panel. If a PDF is attached, click to open it in Rayyan’s built-in PDF viewer. Use the decision bar at the bottom to record your decision: Include, Maybe, or Exclude. Click Reason to attach an exclusion reason. Labels and notes are applied the same way as in Screening.
How to remove articles from Full-Text Screening
To remove a single article, select the checkbox next to it and click Remove Article from the toolbar. To remove multiple articles at once, use Multi-Select — available on all plans. Free plan users can select up to 10 articles at a time. Select All for bulk removal is available on Essential and higher plans.
Resolving FTS conflicts
Conflicts in FTS follow the same logic as in Screening — they occur when two or more reviewers make opposing Include/Exclude decisions on the same article. Resolve all FTS conflicts before moving articles to Data Extraction. For the full conflict resolution workflow, see How to Resolve Screening Conflicts in Rayyan.
